James Coleman is a chartered mechanical
engineer with particular experience in fluid dynamics and engineering
design.
As well as developing and constructing his own innovative water
feature designs, James has also applied his broad engineering
knowledge and practical-approach engineering consulting on projects
ranging from consumer product development to equipping industrial
processing-engineering plant. He is an experienced project manager
and trouble-shooter. James holds patents and design registrations
in the UK & USA.
James Coleman set up James Designs Ltd in 1995 and is its managing
director. James Designs has delivered a number of large-scale
commissions including water features for Wessex Water and NESTA
(the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts).
James worked as a fluid dynamics consultant for Dyson Ltd for
several years, developing new products, processes, and testing
equipment. He has also undertaken engineering consultancy for
Reckitt Benckiser, Rolls-Royce, BAE systems, British gas, Air
Products, Welsh Water, Flymo and Cadbury.
James achieved a 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering & Naval
Architecture and has been chartered for more than ten years.
